Celebrating the life of
Jane Moore Rhodes
August 19, 1943 - July 13, 2026
Jane Moore Rhodes, 82, died on July 13, 2026, at St Joseph’s Hospital after a brief illness. Jane was born in Estill, SC to Flint Moore and Cassie Brant Moore. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Debra Lynn Lee, husband Jack Hinton Rhodes and brother Dwight Moore. Jane grew up in Estill attending Estill High School. After working as a bookkeeper at Levy’s Department Store and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, she went to work at Savannah Foods in 1976 joking that she started there at the age of 9! In 2014 Jane retired from the then, Diamond Crystal Brands after 38 years, rising to become the Assistant Customer Service Manager. Unfortunately, that same year Jane faced the first of many health challenges, breast cancer, and the death of her husband. But Jane found strength in her deep faith in God and enjoyed spending precious time with friends, family and her Debra before Debra’s untimely death in 2019.
Jane will be remembered fondly as “Jungle Jane” for her love of dancing and a good time, as a “Chico’s Chick” for her love of fashion and shopping and as a faithful daughter of the King for her love of God and her church family at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church.
The family would like to recognize and thank Pastor Meg Procopio, of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, and parishioners for their many years of thoughtful care and friendship.
Remembrances may be made to IOHUMC, 412 Parkersburg Road, Savannah, GA, 31406.
Love you Jane...now you're at peace, and with your Debra and Jack.
